Glenview Cottage Nursery
Glenview Cottage Nursery is a small family run business ideally located in a beautiful 100 year old sandstone cottage with extensive gardens. Refurbished specifically to meet the needs and desires of babies and children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Full and part-time places are available. Glenview Cottage Nursery aims to meet the diverse and complex needs of each child as an individual. We work with children and families to create a happy safe, secure and stimulating environment in which individual learning can take place. We believe that confidence and self esteem empower children to learn. We follow Pre-birth to 3 guidance and work within the early stage of the curriculum for Excellence.
We are in partnership with Clackmannanshire council which enables us to provide eligible 2 places and funding for 3 and 4 year old’s.
We will plan activities based around your children’s areas of interest. We believe outdoor play is important and have a fantastic mud kitchen as part of our outdoor provision. We also use the local area and community to enhance learning experiences.
Our key worker system enables staff to support and observe their individual children more effectively.
We actively encourage service user participation and provide opportunities for this, from story telling to evaluating the service.
We gained our gold rights respecting school status in October 2024 after almost a 2 year journey. This means we teach our children all about their rights and what this means for them. We were the first private nursery in Scotland to achieve this and also the first nursery in the whole of Forth Valley to gain our gold award.
We hope parents will feel relaxed in the knowledge that their child is in a well supervised nursery and they can be assured that their child is receiving the highest quality of care.
All staff are trained in Pediatric first aid.
